WORKING HARD TO BRING NATURE BACK INTO THE HEART OF THE FARM
We’ve been advocates and practitioners of nature friendly farming for a few years now, working with a high regard for the farmed environment and surrounding ecosystems.
The tenancy at Robinson Place Farm, in Great Langdale, has enabled us to put down some roots and start the long, steady journey stewarding the land and affecting some positive changes.
In 2021 we will implement a Higher Tier Countryside Stewardship Scheme on the farm. This is a 10-year conservation led subsidy supplied by Natural England. The main focus of the scheme is 60 acres of Wood Pasture Restoration, which will enable us to plant more than 300 trees. Also within the scheme is the planting of 600m of new hedges and the restoration of 15 acres of Traditional Hay Meadows.
