Uncovering the garden

The garden was lovingly and painstakingly created by the Buntin family. Unfortunately over the years it has fallen into disrepair.

When we took over the farm in Autumn 2019, we hadn’t seen the full extent of the garden as it was so over grown.

Through the jungle of non-native invasive species there were glimpses of established Rhododendrons amongst some other lovely trees. During our first winter, and with help from Jennie’s parents, we managed to uncover the beautiful infrastructure of the garden; a bridge, extensive interconnecting pathways and a pond in the middle.

The re-discovery of this gem has also reviled the huge undertaking ahead to restore it to its former glory. We would dearly love to share this special place with visitors, which is why we have started a ‘go-fund-me’ page, to gain support and interest and hopefully help the restoration along a little faster!

During the covid 19 pandemic we have used the garden as a sanctuary and place to gather our thoughts. The garden is something we would like to share with everyone but to achieve this we need your help. We are currently running a GO Fund Me campaign to make this possible.
